Calvin Valentine is a LA based singer, songwriter, and producer. He was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon where he started playing the drums at age six. At age nineteen, he went on The Warped Tour with his band Medium Troy. Valentine first stepped out into the LA music scene in 2011 with the release of Planet Asia’s album “Camouflage Jackets”, which was entirely produced by Calvin known at the time as G_Force. Last year he produced De La Soul’s “God It” featuring Nas, which was recognized by every mainstream blog including Rolling Stone, Pitch Fork, Fader, Complex and even Entertainment Weekly and The New York Times. That same year he produced Fat Tony’s single “H-Town to LA”, which premiered on Complex and the music video is in rotation on MTV Jamz. 

Calvin has also worked with many hip hop icons including, Bun B, Devin The Dude, Juicy J, KDOT Champion Illmaculate—the list goes on. Valentine’s Motown, Indie Rock, and Rap influenced style has even been acknowledged on Jay-Z’s curated blog Life + Times. He’s also had his music licensed by MTV and Pharrell’s company iamOTHER. Valentine is currently working on a full length album with Detroit Artist and the late great J Dilla’s young brother, Illa J. Be on the look out for more work as Valentine just signed a deal with Eryst Records to release his next solo album in 2016.
